Peavine Island Parking Closed

Due to overuse the parking lot on River RD for the Peavine Islands has been closed by Exelon Power Company and Lower Chanceford Township, PA (M-DT 2016 Map 5 mile 10.9 W->E). Those wanting to visit the Peavine Islands will have to park at either the Lock 12 or Lock 15 parking lots and either hike the Mason-Dixon Trail or River RD to Peavine Island. Those parking at the Peavine Island parking lot are subject to being ticketed and/or towed.
