Short Hike With The York Hiking Club

On Sunday, January 7th, the York Hiking Club will be hosting a short hike on the Mason-Dixon Trail to Long Level, from "The Shanks Mare" Outfitter and to the Hooper farm on the Mason-Dixon Trail System. Visit to "Skip’s Bench" and the site of the last Susquehannock Indian village. The hike will take approximately 4 hours. Be prepared for the low temps and bring plenty of water.

This hike will provide majestic views of the Susquehanna River from up top Native Lands County Park. The terrain along this section of trail is rather easy and the hike ends at our previous organization's president, Jim Hooper's home, which lies just off of the trail. This would be a great opportunity to meet some of the members of both the York Hiking Club and also the Mason-Dixon Trail System. Hope to see you there!
